ONEMORE SAPPHIRE had a promising end to his last campaign winning back to back races following up with a second before a let up. We decided to test him first up in the Provincial Championships Qualifier at Kembla Grange, finishing 4L off chasing hard between runners.
The son of Onemorenomore, then moved to his next assignment which was back up to his best trip over the mile where he is a 3 time winner and he didn’t disappoint, adding a 5th win to the resume.
It was a fantastic win, after missing the kick slightly before Aaron Bullock took full advantage of the rail draw to land a beautiful spot a couple lengths back on the fence. He found a clear passage at the top of the long Newcastle straight to give the 5YO plenty of time to flex his muscles with a devastating finish down the outside scoring by 2.4L.
