HIGGINS is a talented 3YO gelding who had placed in back to back trials before stepping out for his debut, where he was solid finishing 3rd.
Next start and we kept him over the 1,200m and made the trip up to Newcastle, with him once again looming like the winner and fighting strongly to the line to stick on for second by a head.
It was third start and the Written Tycoon gelding delivered a gutsy win for our team and his lovely owners at Kembla. It was a tough performance on a heavy track jumping well to hold the rail before holding off a couple of challengers late for a narrow 0.2L victory.
He looks set for a promising career, improving every time he steps out onto the track.
