On debut on Quirindi Cup Day and VENTUS makes the trip worthwhile taking out the River Ridge 2YO Handicap by a head.
A lovely ride from Andrew Gibbons taking advantage of the rail draw to lead comfortably. There was a little bit of heat applied midway through the race but she held her nerve and kept kicking in the straight for a tough all the way win.
It was a great result for the stable with Dispute and Leipzig running 3rd and 4th respectively.
It also secured the Race to Race Double in the first two races at Quirindi
