BAROSSA ROSA finished last campaign well running 1.8L off in The Four Pillars before a well-deserved spell.
We eased the Adelaide mare into this prep with a couple trials placing in both before her first up assignment at Newcastle in the Provincial Championships Qualifier.
Expecting a good performance with a query resuming on heavy ground, but she exceeded expectations in spades sitting at the tail of the field, before the experienced Jeff Penza was patient along the inside and when the gap opened up she let down beautifully to score by half a length.
Exciting times for the team with BAROSSA ROSA joining KISS SUM in the final on the 9th of April.
