DRESDEN faced a tough task in the Midway at Kembla last start, when travelling wide no cover but fought hard all the way to the finish.
Dropping back to the country scene during the Grafton Cup Carnival the Shamus Award gelding proved a class above.
From barrier nine, he mustered quickly to cross and lead comfortably. Reece Jones kept a steady tempo out front and left plenty in the tank for the 4YO to kick clear in the straight and hold on by a length on the line.
