LESSING faced a difficult run first up when getting trapped three wide no cover but still battled on to finish 5th.
Second up we elected to head back to Port Macquarie with this speedy Written Tycoon mare. Keeping her over the short trip, we thankfully received a much nicer draw this time round, allowing this beautiful girl to get into stride quickly to find the front. Once there, Anna Roper maintained a great tempo out front, and kicked clear in the straight scoring by 2.3L.
