It was always going to be a battle of the fittest at Newcastle over the 1800m on the Heavy going and we went into the race with confidence Magicon was fit and ready to go as he goes deeper into this preparation.
Aaron Bullock showed all his experience with a faultless ride, riding Magicon cold, and swinging the widdest into the straight, before picking off his rivals one by one to see our Prized Icon Gelding come away to score by just over a length.
