A patient Anna Roper ride delivered victory for MABEL, whoe was returning from a spell at Hawkesbury today.
We sent MABEL for break and she had a good spell after a couple tough runs on heavy tracks earlier in the year.
We gave her a trial to get her ready for this first up assignment at Hawkesbury. Facing off against a small five horse field, she travelled one back, the fence. On hitting the straight she was trapped inside the field but the talented Anna Roper stayed patient and with about 200m to go the run opened up and our beautiful girl let down powerfully to score by three quarters of a length.
